חיים ישורון כצמן

ד"ר ללימודים בינלאומיים מאוניברסיטת וושינגטון. חוקר דת ופוליטיקה במזרח התיכון. חיים נולד בפתח תקווה ועבר לקיבוץ חולית אחרי הצבא עם חבריו כדי לחזק את המקום. הוא היה איש רב פעלים שעבד בחקלאות ובמוסך של הקיבוץ, היה גנן, וגם תקליטן. לצד כל זאת, חיים עסק במחקר ובהוראה בחוג לפוליטיקה ותקשורת במכללת הדסה. חיים חזר ארצה לאחר לימודי הדוקטורט באוניברסיטת וושינגטון בסיאטל, ארה"ב.

שימש כחבר בכיתת הכוננות בישוב חולית, שם נרצח על ידי מחבלי החמאס במתקפת הטרור. בן 32 בנופלו.

Hayim Katsman held a doctorate in International Studies from the University of Washington and was a researcher of religion and politics in the Middle East. Hayim was born in Petah Tikva and moved to Kibbutz Holit after the army with his friends to strengthen the place. He was a versatile man who worked in agriculture and at the kibbutz garage, was a gardener, and also a DJ. In addition to all these roles, Hayim was involved in research and teaching in the Department of Politics and Communication at Hadassah College. Hayim returned to Israel after his doctoral studies at the University of Washington in Seattle, USA.

He served as a member of the civilian rapid response team in the town of Holit, where he was murdered by Hamas terrorists in the October 7 terrorist attack. He was 32 years old
